MIST WEEKEND A HUGE SUCCESS

MYSC Members,

We have just wrapped up another wildly successful MIST!  And it would not have been possible without the help of our MYSC volunteers.  The board would like to thank every volunteer that donated their time to ensure that our tournament was successful.  All of our volunteers were gracious hosts and ambassadors for our club.  We hosted 85 teams at two field locations.  We provided the opportunity for close to 200 soccer matches in one weekend.  We hosted 1300 players and probably just as many coaches, parents, and fans.  The initial feedback from teams, parents and players is that we have yet again hosted a fun weekend of soccer!  We should all be proud of the quality experience we provided and the effort that it took.

We would especially like to thank Jeff Burt and Chris McSweeney for all of the time and effort they put in to organize such a massive effort and Kathy Derken for recruiting and organizing referees for all of the weekend’s matches.  Numerous teams, coaches, and parents commented on how well the tournament was organized and how well it ran.  Feedback like this is only possible because of the passion for youth soccer and the development of our players that Jeff, Chris, and Kathy possess.

Thanks again to all of our volunteers, coaches, parents and players for all of their hard work.  And good luck to all of our teams for the rest of the season.

Sincerely,

Matt Starkey
